I have no idea where I first heard this years and years ago but upon hearing the intro in a tiktok I was instantly transported 10 uears in the past. But where oh where did I hear this originally?

the song has like a dark vibe, in a good way. I really don't know how to describe it. just like any other crystal castles' song i guess.

for me, this song is the auditive depiction of the city at night, with its distant but blinding lights, and its narrow dark streets filled with angst and hopelessness. that's the way I picture it.
